Visi coolers for dairy, sweet and grocery shops
By Sadguru Research & Analysis Laboratory · 23 October 2026
Milk, curd, paneer, rasgulla and sandesh are some of the most commonly failed samples in our food microbiology tests, and warm display shelves are often the reason. A good visi cooler is one of the best investments a shop can make.

Hold it below 5 °C
Dairy products and milk sweets should be kept at 5 °C or below. Bacteria multiply quickly between 5 °C and 60 °C. Put an inexpensive thermometer inside the cooler and check it at opening and closing time.

Frost-free operation, a glass door that seals well, adjustable shelves, and good energy rating. Place it away from sun, ovens and the shop entrance.
Test your products
Periodic microbiology tests of your sweets and dairy (total plate count, coliforms, yeast and mould) show whether your cold chain is working, and protect you in case of a complaint.
Common questions
How full should a visi cooler be?
Leave gaps between products so cold air can circulate; overloading creates warm spots.
Do sweets need refrigeration?
Milk-based sweets do. Dry sweets with low moisture keep longer, but follow the shelf life on your label.
Test before you spend
A laboratory report tells you exactly what your water or food needs, so you buy the right equipment once. We test water to IS 10500 and food to FSSAI standards, with sample pickup across Kolkata.
