Professional pH meters for water treatment and food QC
By Sadguru Research & Analysis Laboratory · 23 October 2026
Cheap pH pens are fine for a hobby aquarium, but water treatment operators, packaged water plants and food QC teams need readings they can trust every day. That means a better electrode, proper calibration, and good storage habits.

Accuracy you actually need
For drinking water (limit pH 6.5–8.5) and routine process checks, ±0.1 pH is enough. For pickles, sauces and acidified foods, where pH decides safety, 0.01 resolution with careful calibration is better.
Apera AI209-T PH20 pH Tester Kit
Reliable pocket pH tester with buffers for water treatment operators, food QC and hydroponics.
Lab note: Calibrate with at least two buffers (pH 7 and 4 or 10) before a measurement session.
Imported listing: check the plug type and voltage (India uses 230 V) before ordering.

Calibrate with at least two buffers (pH 7 and pH 4 or 10) at the start of each day. Rinse with distilled water between samples and store the electrode in storage solution, never dry.
When to send it to a lab
For compliance reports, disputes or new product validation, use a NABL-accredited or reference laboratory result. Pocket meters are for daily control.
Common questions
How long does a pH electrode last?
Usually 12–18 months with good care; replace it when calibration becomes slow or unstable.
Why do my readings drift?
Dry storage, a dirty junction or expired buffers are the usual causes.
Test before you spend
A laboratory report tells you exactly what your water or food needs, so you buy the right equipment once. We test water to IS 10500 and food to FSSAI standards, with sample pickup across Kolkata.
